The EuP course qualifies people who are not trained electricians, but who are present in electrical operating facilities and / or have to work on or near electrical installations under the responsibility and supervision of a qualified electrician (in german: Elektrofachkraft – EFK).
The daily activities of an electrically instructed person (EuP) may include the following activities:
In this course, you will acquire the necessary electrical engineering expertise and deepen your understanding through practical exercises with portable electrical equipment. In addition to electrical fundamentals, electrical hazards, and necessary protective measures, you will also be introduced to the use of measuring and testing devices.
NOTE: The EuP cannot assume independent electrical responsibility. They are not permitted to modify circuits, connect or disconnect electrical equipment, or locate and repair faults in electrical systems. The EuP always works under the guidance and supervision of a qualified electrician / as part of a team of qualified electricians.
This course based on the German Legislation and the DIN VDE regulations. 12 ArbSchG, DIN VDE 1000-10 and DGUV Regulation 1 require an annual instruction. By attending the Annual training: Electrically instructed person (EuP) - maintaining competence (Webcode EP-EEUP) you fulfil these requirements and document that you have maintained your expertise.
