This live online seminar teaches compact, basic knowledge of programming with Python and selected libraries for reading, processing and saving local data. From basic syntax rules and control structures to data structures and simple data analyses, you will learn all the important concepts that will give you a solid introduction to Python. Examples are used to explain control functions such as the If statement.

The worlds most popular programming language (according to the PYPL Index in September 2021) is considered to be easy to learn due to its clear and concise syntax. Python is a high-level programming language that is related to most common programming languages. It is an aspect-oriented, object-oriented and functional programming language that can be used in a variety of ways.

Technical requirements:To participate in the live online seminar, you will need a current version of Python and Visual Studio Code. Both programs are open source, which means that you can download and use them free of charge. Programming experience in any programming language is also required.
